Recently me and my girlfriend visited Zambia for our first time, and had our first ever safari there! We booked via Adventure Purists/Bundu Safari's, and we couldn't be happier with our choice! We first wanted to book for Kafue National Park, but Christa (our lovely contact person) recommended another tour which would be easier accessable during this time of the year. We simply told them what we wanted, for how long, and any additional requests, and they made it happen!

Of course we booked this trip hoping to see beautiful nature and amazing animals. (We definitely did see everything we wanted, including the entire Big 5!) But having two of these amazing guides with us really made our trip complete. Moses and Joseph are two wonderful guys that really know what they're doing and talking about. They make a great duo who can cook, drive, care, spot even the most well hidden animals, and tell us everything about all we want to know like behavior, characteristics, looks and so much more of all the animals we found. Please take good care of such amazing safari guides, as you probably won't find them of this kind very often. They always asked if we could see everything back in the truck, they asked if there were specific species we should look after. They asked when we wanted to leave, eat, come back to camp, take on extra activities or just chill a bit. Super kind, caring, funny, sweet and pure people. We absolutely would recommend booking with these guys if someone books a safari with Bundu.

It was amazing seeing all these different species together and in the wild, and the hunt to always spot even more was really exciting! We think we got really lucky with everything we found, and are really appreciative about being able to make such a unique trip with very unique people! Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity, and we will definitely see you in the future!

We are safely back home after an amazing holiday... I wanted to say a big thank you for all the planning and organization of our trip.
From the initial exciting camping, to the wonderful lodge in South Luangwa – All the locations really, were very well chosen. The boat, staying at Zambezi River Cottages, the big chalet in Lower Zambezi - all then!
And thank you to all the team that assisted us Andrew, Joseph, Monica (and briefly Moses). Also in Bostwana and South Luangwa we had really great guides.
We were very lucky to see amazing animals, not at once but at each location new and even more special – I won’t bore you with photos :) But there all the usual suspects – highlight was the leopards, the pride of lions, the big heards of elephants, buffalos, wild dogs… and everything in between.

Our safaris in Chobe, Lower Zambezi, and South Luangwa National Parks were truly fantastic and unique; simply an experience like no other. Never before had we been able to see and experience such a diverse wildlife in the wild on another African safaris. The timing and organization (guides, cook, vehicle) also worked perfectly, and the food was simply delicious every day. I thank you very much for your excellent preparation and will happily recommend you to others when the opportunity arises.

We thank Christa for recommending the best nature park for our budget during this season. We were lucky to do our 6-day safari in the Lower Zambezi with a wonderful Dutch couple who were also nature lovers. In our small group of four, we were guided by Moses who is an incredible expert at spotting even the most inconspicuous animals like panthers. Thanks to him, during our short safari we were able to see the big five: lions, elephants, panthers, buffalos and rhinos (the latter in a private reserve near Mazabuka where we also encountered giraffes and ostriches). Of course, we saw many other species, such as wild dogs, zebras, impalas, baboons, hippos, crocs, and so on. Each time, Moses explained to us the reasons for their behaviour and how they were linked to each other within their ecosystem. It was fascinating! We learnt a lot! Moses is also an incredible cook who, every evening at Mvuu camp, puts all his heart into preparing delicious traditional dishes in huge portions over the campfire. During our stay in Zambia, we couldn't find a restaurant that could match the quality of his cooking. We were also lucky enough to be driven by Joseph around the bumpy tracks of the park in a unique and beautiful modified Land Rover that we loved so much. Joseph is an extremely skilful (and joyful) driver who took us down tracks that no-one else would have dared. No track or path was impossible to follow the animal footprints of the Lower Zambezi NP! We highly recommend the expertise of Bundu Adventures for safaris in Zambia.

We enjoyed a most fabulous safari with Adventure Purist. Christa was very accommodating in customizing the safari to our needs, dates and budget. Jacob was a fantastic game drive guide and went the extra mile in finding all the animals we came to see. And Moses, the chef, cooked the most wonderful meals. All the camps and lodges on this Adventure Purist safari exceeded our expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend this company for a memorable safari adventure.

• Highlights of Zambia

We went with my brother ,his wife and 2 other persons, appreciated the small group numbers. We were blessed to see all animals on our wish list except Cheetah. It was amazing. Andrew our guide went out of his way to show us animals and teach us about animal behaviour. He has a great deal to organise and manage over the 2 weeks ,he did it well! It was getting a bit hot towards the end of August so July may be a better month. Be prepared to have days of travel from one National Park to the other on dirt roads and plenty of dust. The positive is very few tourists and safari vehicles chasing the animals for viewing. We all agreed it was a great adventure!

• Highlights of Zambia

Wow! The team was great. We were only two people and yet the Bundu team made a plan and we had two extra guides doing to rafting with us. TIP: tell them you want the raft to flip as much as possible. We did it and it was so much fun, even though we got tossed, flipped or launched we felt safe every second of the trip. Extremely professional team and all the guides was great!

Thanks guys! you all made our experience so amazing.

• Half Day White Water Rafting (High Water)

Can't recommend Bundu Safaris / Adventure Purists enough. We had a beautiful adventure in Zambia, most importantly because Christa accommodated our specific requests so perfectly. We wanted to stay in only two park areas in 13 days and focus on as many game drives as possible but on a budget. Christa made it happen and made it feel like a luxury trip. She chose 3 different camps: a self catering and two full service camps, each different and delightful in their own way. In the Lower Zambezi, at the self catering camp along the hippo filled river, we had an excellent guide from the area and a cook who turned out marvelous meals including fresh baked bread. At the camps in the South Luangwa, we had lodges with expert drivers, good food and very comfortable accommodations. In all places there lots of leopards, lions, elephants, painted wolves, baboons, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and countless birds to be found in the African bush. Adventure Purists took care of every detail from beginning to end. We were well informed while working out the advance details and expenses. In our experience, they are a very trustworthy and competent company to do busy with. Highly recommend!

Incredibly organised, accommodating and helpful
We did a 6 day safari with this group and our guide Andrew and his helper/ our cook Moses were an incredible pair who made our experience unforgettable. They shared their stories, culture, music and knowledge with us. Christa was an incredibly helpful and organised person to deal with who made our whole trip easy and unforgettable. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

I was terrified about going white water rafting but I am SO glad I did it. It was absolutely amazing, made more so by the staff, in particular Ayoba. They made me feel very safe
