Multi day trips on the Zambezi are magnificent, featuring big
white water, spectacular African scenery, overnights on the side
of the river, wildlife and warm sunny weather! The Zambezi River
below the Victoria Falls is widely considered to be the very best
rafting river in the world. A deep channelled, high volume river,
the Zambezi offers over one hundred kilometres of grade three
to five rapids. While your days are pumped with adrenalin, your
nights involve camping on magnificent beaches of white sand, a
cold beer in your hand, listening to the sounds of the bush. The
Zambezi will keep you on the edge every step of the way!!!
Our
trip options include:
1.
Full day rafting with overnight.
Full day
rafting from rapid #1 to #21 (25 km) with overnight in the gorge
at rapid #21. Or from rapid #10 to #23 during the high water
season (mid-January until mid-July) with overnight at rapid
#23.
2.
Two days rafting with one overnight.
Day 1, rafting
from rapid #1 to #21 (25 km) with overnight at rapid #21. Day
2, rafting from rapid #21 to « Lower Moemba rapid ».
3.
Two days rafting with two overnights.
Day 1, rafting
from rapid #1 to #21 (25 km) with overnight at rapid #21. Day
2, rafting from rapid #21 to « Lower Moemba rapid »,
with overnight. Day 3, breakfast, drive back to town.
4.
Six days rafting with five overnights.
Day
1, rafting from rapid #1 to #21 (25 km) with overnight at rapid
#21. Day 2, rafting from rapid #21 to « Lower Moemba rapid
», overnight. Day 3, rafting from rapid « Lower
Moemba » to the rapid called « Asleep at the wheel”,
overnight. Day 4, rafting from rapid “Asleep at the wheel”
to “Matetsi river mouth”, ovenright. Day 5, rafting
from “Matetsi river mouth” to “Deka lodge”
Afternoon rest at the lodge. Night at the lodge. Day 6, drive
back to town.
Nb: it is possible to arrange an helicopter take out for each of these
trips.
