Overnight Raft Safaris
This is a fun and relaxing trip. Watch the animals coming to drink at the river, and the beautiful riverside landscape passing you by as you drift down the wild Zambezi River.
Katombora Island is your wild and secluded overnight spot. Sit on the sandbank and try your luck catching the rapacious Tigerfish. Have your dinner served under the starry night. A great African adventure in one of the most beautiful spots the Zambezi has to offer.
If you are going to Chobe National Park, this is a perfect trip on your way back to Livingstone. We can pick you up right at the border to Botswana with our rafts and float you down to Katombora Island. The next morning the journey continues downstream: game viewing, bird watching on the way; and the occasional easy rapid to entertain you. You will be picked up by one of our vehicles at the end of the trip and brought back to Livingtone at around lunch. Apart from this trip on the Upper Zambezi we also do Raft Safaris on the Kafue river and other sections of the Zambezi river. Many rivers in Zambia are absolutely beautiful, untouched by development and pristine. Explore!
